Exterior Foundation Drain System

The basement of this house was leaking heavily on one side. After a visual inspection of the site we concluded that an exterior foundation drain would be the most effective and economical option. Trenching was then performed along side of the foundation. The stone foundation walls were then plastered with cement and sealed with a waterproofing foundation coating. Filter fabric was then laid into the trench along with stone. The pipe was then placed and tied into the roof drainage system. After all the connections were made the filter fabric was pulled up and around the pipe and then backfilled with stone and dirt. On this particular job there was a final drain line which discharged the stormwater 60′ away from the house.
