Girard College, Tuttle Pavilion, Philadelphia, PA

This pavilion was gifted by Girard College Alumni Assoc. in memory of William N. Tuttle & William Tuttle. One of the Pavilion main features is it’s hexagonal shape. The concrete was colored using Scofield – Dark Integral color packs. The center of the pad boasts a medallion which is a replica of the College symbol. The medallion was poured in 3 separate section, which required building an intricate mold in order to replicate the symbol. The medallion was then stained by hand using gold leaf and acrylic stains. The work was protected using a satin sheen penetrating sealer. There is also a Ashlar Slate stamped entrance leading up to the pavilion.
